Our philosophy of behavioral education is very unique and extremely successful. We teach children to use their own mind and the laws of the planet. Laws such as gravity and logic are recognized and applied to children’s behavior. Natural and logical consequences are supported by our motto of teaching “safe, kind and clean”. These very core values teach children the basics in human skills. These core values apply to all behavior from childhood through adulthood. Our teachers work with children to remind them of being safe, kind and clean throughout their day. When children work and play outside of these core values, CCCC staff will remind them or assist them in correcting their behavior, i.e.” It isn’t safe to run inside, it isn’t kind to call another child names, it isn’t clean to leave your plate on the table.”
Our program offers the best in balance with a structured schedule in a warm and friendly environment. We operate within the confines of what is developmentally appropriate for young children, while affirming progress through various learning styles; visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Our program focuses on creating a well-rounded curriculum filled with language, concepts, science, math and fitness. Our number one goal is always the development of strong social skills in an emotionally safe environment.

CARING CONNECTION CHILDREN'S CENTER
Caring Connection Children’s Center is the home of Enlightened Discipline © the
philosophy as developed by Executive Director Julie Jenkins Sathe. Caring Connection
is located in West Sacramento, CA just a short hop over the Sacramento River from
downtown Sacramento. Caring Connection is licensed for 41 children, 11 infants and 3
preschoolers.
Julie has operated Caring Connection Children’s Center since 1996. But Caring
Connection is not Julie’s first Enlightened Discipline© preschool in Sacramento. In 1989
Julie opened the first privately sponsored on-site preschool and infant center for the
Sacramento Bee newspapers in their site in midtown Sacramento. After one site was
opened another followed, and eventually the Jenkins-Sathe relocated that preschool to
its current home in midtown Sacramento. Julie’s first preschool Hand-In-Hand Preschool
and Infant Center was a tremendous success in Sacramento and was subsequently
purchased by a former employee who still operates the site under a similar name. One
year later, Julie opened Caring Connection in West Sacramento and continued to develop
Enlightened Discipline© into a book, teacher training process and parent coaching
program.
Caring Connection is located near Sacramento and Davis, in the newly developing
business district of West Sacramento. Caring Connection is located at 703 West Acre Rd.
We are located in a converted duplex which has been opened up into one flowing building.
This site boasts a corner lot and ample outdoor space.
Because Caring Connection is still small by industry standards, our staff know every child’s
name. This is a precious commodity in today’s large and mobile world. One of the most
important offers that we have is for visitors. No need to ever make an appointment. For
the security of the children, we do have a security door….but visiting parents can drop-in
and we will greet you anytime during our operation hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No
appointment is necessary.
Caring Connection makes your child care experience as easy for you as it is fun for your
child. We provide a hot breakfast and wholesome lunch, as well as three snacks. Our meal
program was noted recently in the Sacramento Bee’s Food and Wine section. We also
provide for parents all diapering needs. We want parents to enjoy their child all the way to
school rather than spending hours preparing and packing. We have part time, partial week
and full time child care schedules available. We will customize a schedule to meet your
needs, as space permits. Tuition is due weekly.

Two Year Olds: $185.00
Preschool: $180.00
Come and join us for a cup of coffee. Watch the children interact and the teachers
do their magic. Have some breakfast, sit in a small chair and stay for lunch.

Although we love to brag about the longevity of our staff, we also encourage and celebrate the personal success that moves cooks into teachers' aides and aides to teachers and teachers into directors. Caring Connection is grateful to all of the teaching staff throughout the years who have strengthened themselves and us through their willingness to learn and grow.
Julie Jenkins Sathe continues to lead the center while expanding her public speaking career as the Executive Director while sharing the leadership with skilled Director Melanie Fristoe on Caring Connection staff for eight years.
